Yes, both are automatics. Sorry.

I'll take the SportCross. That one was never offered with manual sadly, but a swap would be pretty east I'm guessing.

Let me get this straight: you want me to compare a i6 rwd sportwagon with near perfect 50 50 weight distribution to a re-engineered Ford Taurus with early 2000's american build quality and a 4wd system stolen from Volvo?
I shall pick the one packing the 2jz

yah, Supra 6 speed fits ok. Clutch pedal assembly and interior parts from a manual version and a few other bits and bobs.

Someone needs to Supra turbo and manual swap the Sportcross

The IS300 is luxury? My 1998 minivan has more amenities.

Technically, yes it. Lexus is a luxury carmaker, and this, at the time, was a base-model luxury car. The Jag definitely beats it on that front, though.

Super-easy. IS SportCross, even with the autotragic.
Reasons: should work most of the time; glorious instrument cluster, nifty engine, RWD, more enjoyable look imho.

Here in Japan the IS300 (Altezza) is very 'bottom of the barrel' so I didn't think it was considered a luxury car in the states, but I do like the design... mostly.
With that being said, Jaaag.

IS300. It's the younger brother to my Cressida Wagon.

I'd go with this . 2256$, still automatic, 2001 year, 65k in mileage. 87 miles from where you based your last search.
Use the leftover 10k for gas, maintenance, tuning. In that order. :D
The site lists very little info, so I ran the VIN through a checker:
VIN:
YS3EF48Z713043113
Body type: 4-door Sedan
Gear box: 4-Speed Automatic
Engine type: B308E - 3.0L V6 turbo LPT, 200 hp
I don't get the sedan bit, though. Go figure.

Oh but it's worse! The X-type is a worked over Contour, yuk!

X-Types make me sad inside.
